Self Portrait (Part I)

Tall
But really what does that say
Aside from the fact that I can see
Over the crowds
And reach for higher items for old ladies
At the store

Ginger
And yes I do have a soul
Or a spirit in terms of something
That drives me on
To do great things and reach for heights
Greater than my own

Bald
But one can’t fight genetics
So flaunt your follicular failings freely
My shiny headed brothers
And sisters too I would suppose
And shave that cranium

Anxious
But under control I guess?
Medicine and therapy and coping mechanisms help
But it’s never really gone
Would I want it to be? If it were
Would I be lonely?
